Sunday Serenity: Footprints in the Snow

This image has been featured before, but I love it so wanted to give it prominence again.

One of the redeeming qualities of winter is its many light moods. I captured this a couple of years ago out in the back forty as I was watching a magnificent sunrise. Nearly froze, mind you. So worth it.

Winter holds its own beauty. And yes, it can be cold.

It was -10C when I stepped out to capture this and many other glorious moments one morning this past week. Thawing was unpleasant, but I was buoyed by the results of half an hour communing with this beautiful winter sunrise.
